On this day of 30th September 2008, I am so happy and proud to introduce the “TEAM 1325” to the world, these are very special women leaders from all districts of the country as well from diverse ethnic and religious background and also who belong to a very wide age group. They have worked for a very long time on women’s issues. 2003 onwards after the UN resolution 1325 was introduced to them they were able to resonate the four pillars of 1325 with their work, The Association of War Affected Women were able to create the space for them to come together and build a very strong coalition, I wish the “TEAM 1325” all success.
