Nation Builders Association is a non- profit, non governmental, non religious, and development oriented social services organization working mainly in the rural sector in Sri Lanka. Association activities commence in 1960 and had been active for the last 48 years. Association is recognized as a leading NGO on water related activities such as integrated river basin conservation and development, forestry, land use micro-credit for women, human resource development and peace building.
The development activities are carried out as projects and program with the participation if the beneficiaries. It is the policy of the Association to involve as many as possible women in all the project activities and at present Association pays more attention to these projects or program which are “environmentally suitable and economically viable”
